VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer convenient and affordable special event service to Monster Jam on Saturday, Jan. 18, and Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020 in the Alamodome, 100 Montana St.
Special Event Service will be available from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd. Service to the Alamodome begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. VIA’s special event service is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. Customers can also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on their smartphones with the free VIA goMobile app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for special event service.
In addition to the special event service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be on alternate routes to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 19 and continuing until one hour after each event concludes. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on VIA prímo and VIA VIVA.
