Special Event Park & Ride Service offers round trip to Alamodome for just $5
VIA Metropolitan Transit will kick off the 2019 San Antonio Commanders football season with Park & Ride Service to all home games beginning Feb. 9, 2019, when the Commanders take on the San Diego Fleet. VIA’s Park & Ride Service is convenient and affordable with roundtrip travel to the Alamodome for just $5.
Park & Ride Service to Commanders home games will be provided from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd. and the Madla Transit Center, 1584 Cantrell. Service will begin two hours before game time, and return service will run for one hour after each game.
Park & Ride fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Pre-purchase tickets on VIA’s goMobile app, available to download free on Apple and Android devices. Cash and credit cards are accepted at Park & Ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.
In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Center at the Alamodome, beginning two hours before game time and continuing for one hour after the conclusion of each game. Regular bus fare of $1.30 per trip (65 cents for students) will apply. Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75 and are good for unlimited rides on the day of activation.
