Majority of VIA Centro Plaza Transfers to Move to Milam Park
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 27, 2017) – The City of San Antonio will begin work on Phase 2 of its Frio Street construction project, which includes closing the intersection at Frio and Houston streets, beginning at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.
To accommodate the construction and continue to serve our customers, the majority of transfers between VIA bus routes in the Centro Plaza area will be relocated to Milam Park effective Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017. Several temporary bus stops have been established to assist passengers with transfers at this location. Routes 46 and 301 will be the only routes to service Centro Plaza while Phase 2 is in effect.
The project is expected to continue through spring 2018, during which VIA will post directional signage, and share service updates online and via social media.
Route schedules may be impacted during this period of the City’s construction project. To learn more about how it might affect your trip in the Centro Plaza area, see maps and bus stop lists online now, or call VIA Customer Service at (210) 362-2020.
