Bicyclists get free bus rides May 4

As part of Walk and Roll 2012, VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer free rides to anyone who boards the bus with a bicycle on Friday, May 4, which is the day of the Walk and Roll to Work Rally. The rally will begin at 8:00 a.m. in HemisFair Park.
All of VIA’s buses are equipped with bicycle racks (except the downtown streetcars), and each rack can hold two bicycles. This amenity has proven to be popular among bicycle riders, giving them and regular public transit users more options for getting around and extending their trips.
