Posted: 8/13/2012

VIA Metropolitan Transit is teaming up with the office of San Antonio City Councilwoman Elisa Chan to hold a public meeting for the planning and site selection phase of the U.S. Highway 281 North Park and Ride project.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, August 21 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Parkhills Baptist Church, 17747 San Pedro Avenue.

Phase 1 of the U.S. 281 project includes the development of a park and ride facility to provide improved mobility to the downtown area from the far North Side. The planning and site selection process is under way, and the public meeting is designed to give interested parties the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on the project.

The meeting location is accessible by wheelchair. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may request an interpreter 48 hours prior to the meeting by calling TDD 362-2019 or the Public Affairs office at 362-2370.

Oral and written comments may be presented at the public meeting. Written comments can also be sent to VIA’s Public Affairs office at 800 West Myrtle, San Antonio, Texas 78212, and they should be postmarked by September 6, 2012. For more information on this project, please call 210-362-2222.
