Veterans Day schedule explained  Contact us about this...

Veterans Day is coming up again, and once again VIA is running holiday service for that day. But, as before, this day is handled a bit differently than other holidays, so let's go over what that service is to hopefully avoid any confusion.

On Wednesday, November 11, VIA buses will run their regular weekday schedules, but the information centers and the customer service telephone operators will be on Saturday schedules. Usually on holidays both the bus service and the customer service resources operate on the same Saturday or Sunday schedule, but since ridership tends to stay at weekday levels on Veterans Day, the bus service will operate on normal weekday schedules.

So, when November 11 rolls around, you can expect to see:
Buses on regular weekday service
The 362-2020 information line staffed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Downtown Information Center open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All other information centers closed

If you need help planning your trips for Veterans Day, call 362-2020. And always pay attention to announcements regarding holiday service. If you are ever unsure as to what service VIA is providing, call us and we will help you find the information you need.
