VIA Metropolitan Transit will hold another series of public meetings to receive comments from citizens regarding the agency’s Long-Range Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
The process for developing this plan is called “Smart Way SA,” and it will lead to an integrated system of high-capacity multimodal transit corridors in the San Antonio region. VIA held a series of meetings and workshops in the first week of September to introduce the process and solicit comments from the public, and now VIA will hold four quadrant meetings to share the same information directly with the community and to gather additional feedback.
The four meetings will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 4 5:30 pm. to 8:00 p.m. El Progreso Hall 1306 Guadalupe Street
Thursday, November 5 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Harlandale Civic Center 115 West Southcross Boulevard
Monday, November 9 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Claude Black Community Center 2805 East Commerce Street
Saturday, November 14 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Barshop Jewish Community Center, Auditorium A 12500 N.W. Military Highway
The meeting locations are accessible by wheelchair. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may request an interpreter 48 hours prior to the meeting by calling TDD 362-2019 or the Public Affairs office at 362-2370.
More information on the Long-Range Comprehensive Transportation Plan can be found on www.SmartWaySA.com or by calling VIA at 362-2370.
