VIA offers Special Event Park & Ride Service to Monster Jam
SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 11, 2017) — VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer convenient and affordable Special Event Park & Ride Service to Monster Jam at the Alamodome, 100 Montana St., on Saturday, Jan. 21, and Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017.
Park & Ride Service will be available from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd. Service begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, and at noon on Sunday, January 22. Return service on both days will continue until one hour after the event concludes.
The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty members of the military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.
In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Primo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, and noon on Sunday, and continuing for one hour after each event. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Primo and VIVA.
